I’m running out of chambers
One hides a bullet in it
You’ve got your name on me
Shame on me
You put the shame on me
I’m running up the numbers
I don’t want this roulette in it
You bruise your name on me
Shame on me
You put the shame on me
I don’t wanna go home tonight
He’s waiting in that chair
With the lights out in the room
First comes the blame
Then comes the rage
Then comes the silence
I tell him that I barely missed my tram
What took you so long
Who were you with
I know you’re leaving me
…and I am
The finger’s on the trigger
The poison’s in the ring
One of these days I swear I’ll be gone
One way or another
I’ll run out of songs to sing
One of these days my days will be done
I’m running out of chambers...
Spin...and click
Maybe he’s not angry after all
Trust is difficult to reinstall
He says it’s easier to grieve for me
If I am dead by his hand
He’ll demand:
“If I cannot have you
Then no one else can have you either
You’re mine alone, you understand?”
...by his hand
The finger’s on the trigger...
I’m running out of chambers...

Really good, heavy, darker rock with a sound that will surely refuse to become dated by the passing of time. To me, it sounds somewhat like a darker Suzi Quatro, Joan Jett, or Pat Benatar might. I highly recommend this album. The choruses and ‘chanting’ (for lack of a better term) are catchy and compelling to sing along to (especially the chorus of Golden Serpents). Vocals, song structures, and band chemistry are great. Thanks, Dool! I look forward to your next offering. 8/10. Alrihkh

I remember hearing this album way back when it just came out, listening to it on YT on repeat. And now I have it in 2022 on CD! Excellent for fans of prog metal, with a nice balance of genres. PunkGalFury

This album might need a few spins before you hear the true depth of this slowly building up album that makes a wonderful finish on The Machine. GazpachoX
