I browse through someone’s darkest thoughts
I stole them stealthily
I borrow them for observation
I peruse someone’s darkest thoughts
Like writing in a tarnished book
I read them carefully
An analytical evaluation
I procure someone’s darkest thoughts
...dark thoughts on lend
Here’s music for the borderline insane
Prescription for acute cerebral pain
It’s music for the borderline insane
Melodies to soothe the addled brain
Secrets buried deep within
Where no one else can see
I peer inside the unconscious minds
So they’ll come clear to me
I claim your dreams of morbid deeds
And leave a card in their stead
Holding a message from me to you
It was always in your head
Here’s music for the borderline insane...
Here’s music for the borderline
- Sounds designed to realign
Music for the borderline insane
It’s music for the borderline insane
Melodies to soothe the addled brain

Really good, heavy, darker rock with a sound that will surely refuse to become dated by the passing of time. To me, it sounds somewhat like a darker Suzi Quatro, Joan Jett, or Pat Benatar might. I highly recommend this album. The choruses and ‘chanting’ (for lack of a better term) are catchy and compelling to sing along to (especially the chorus of Golden Serpents). Vocals, song structures, and band chemistry are great. Thanks, Dool! I look forward to your next offering. 8/10. Alrihkh

I remember hearing this album way back when it just came out, listening to it on YT on repeat. And now I have it in 2022 on CD! Excellent for fans of prog metal, with a nice balance of genres. PunkGalFury

This album might need a few spins before you hear the true depth of this slowly building up album that makes a wonderful finish on The Machine. GazpachoX
